The 2024 Toyota GR Corolla is based on the Corolla Hatchback, but even those who aren’t familiar with cars won’t have trouble telling it apart from the base model.
The shade options for the Core grade have Ice Cap or Black as no-cost options or Supersonic Red (seen above) for $425; pushing up to the Circuit Edition counts Heavy Metal for $425; and for the Morizo Edition.
This cabin is unapologetically based on a Corolla, a frugal commuter car built on a budget, but that’s not to say the GR Corolla’s cabin isn’t nice.
All grades come standard with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Toyota, which is connected to six speakers on the Core, A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster also adds to the high-tech feel from the driver’s seat.
Core grades get basic clothes, while the Circuit and Morizo step it up with Brin-Naub suede that classes up the cabin. Both the Circuit and Morizo also receive a special shift knob, wrapped in leather or suede, respectively. The seats have more support than a regular 2024 Toyota GR Corolla and hold people well on the track.

The GR Corolla’s 1.6-liter three-pot engine generates 300 horsepower and 273 lb-ft (295 lb-ft in the Morizo) with the aid of 25.2 PSI of boost (26.3 on the Morizo), which is more than the Hyundai Elantra N but admittedly less than the Type R and Golf R.
